 A note from Melissa:  I also have access to the indexes for all of the Tennessee Counties from 1924-1956 at the archives.  I can search the indexes for any and all Smithson/Smitson and copy all original death certificates.  Or if you only want the Smithson/Smitson death certificates from the Shelby County area, I can do that as well.  Shelby County is a unique county in that they have death certificates going back to 1848.  The records are not complete from 1848-1908, but there could be several records available.
The copy fee is $5.00 per certificate that I copy. To conduct the search I charge a one time search fee of $15.00.
